Our Team

Rachel Kamen, Director of Operations of 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails, numbers maharishi, The Godmother of Organization, and rock of the 204 North family, was born in New York, New York and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is no coincidence Rachel is so remarkable at what she does. She is actually a superhero cleverly disguised in amazing heels. She has mastered the art of opening up successful bars and restaurants on coffee and pure adrenaline alone!

Rachel started to discover her super powers for the hospitality industry at a young age by working at her family’s restaurant in PA. It was working here her amazing powers of accounting and operations began to take shape. With the support of family, Rachel made the bold move of up-rooting herself to Charlotte, NC.

She worked for Bar Management Group Charlotte and was quickly noticed by entrepreneur Anthony Kearey, owner of 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails and Tilt on Trade. Her ability to solve problems and her “we’ve got this,” attitude has led her in becoming one of Charlotte’s leaders in the industry.

When Rachel is not victoriously triumphing the hospitality biz, you may catch her volunteering for countless local charities or planning her next exciting trip to exotic destinations like Dubai, Spain, South Africa, or Mars, all of which she loves jetting over to. Even the guardians of the restaurant galaxy need to take some time to relax so they can begin conspiring their next big culinary mission in making Charlotte and the world a yummier place to live!

Franke Jones, Executive Chef of 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails, gladiator of flavor, and star quarterback of 204 North’s all-star team of talented chefs, was first grown in Augusta, Georgia, transplanted in Palo Alto, California, uprooted once again, where he got a chance to get cozy in Carolina soil. It was here he started developing his own groovy spin on taking traditional comfort food, whatever that definition may be to you, and simply put, bringing it to life with his rendition of a southern style cuisine.

After attending Johnson & Wales University and cooking alongside some of the country’s greatest chefs, Chef Franke continued to grow into his own flavor of goodness. It is safe to say that when eating something Chef Franke has prepared, you feel as though you are in the company of family and friends. It’s fun, easy, and you can’t wait to do it again! You are “Fixin” to find out that while trying to be polite and not devour the meal Chef Franke has prepared for you, the first thing that will greet your palate is a combination of passion and heritage blended with the unique flavors he uses in his cooking. The ability to do this is beyond us, this is why we leave the cooking to him! If you ask Chef Franke how he is able to bring such emotion and a memory with each bite you take, he makes it sound simple.

He states that when cooking he thinks back to cooking with his family. That is all. Having two grandmothers who were both amazing chefs and got him in the kitchen when he was in diapers was not a key factor to his success, was it Chef! Just give him another second and he will tell you those two amazing women had a lot to do with it too.

When Chef Franke is not in his kitchen jamming out to old school Outcast and coming up with his next culinary version of the Sistine Chapel, nine out of ten times you can find him with friends and family doing what Charlotteans do best, supporting the Hornets or sipping on an ice cold local beer at a Charlotte Knights baseball game. Aside from his amazing ability to bring grown men to tears with his raw talents and attention to flavor, his second passion is anything sports related. We at 204 North are selfishly thrilled he chose a Shun knife over a Spalding baseball, and as a token of our gratitude to his excellence we promise to show him off to all the hungry people of Charlotte!

Ladies we present to you Charlotte’s most eligible bachelor, Chef Franke Jones! You can find this mystical culinary unicorn at the one and only 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails!

Kristin Dinse, Director of Marketing and Special Events for 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails, queen of chatter, and 204 North’s leading hype woman, grew up in Marietta, Georgia. She learned early that her passion for great food, planning a legendary party and the gift of gab go hand-in-hand in an industry that many would argue is genetically predetermined by the gods.

Kristin moved to Charlotte, NC in 2004 and after attending Johnson & Wales University, she stayed true to her hunger for a fast-pasted work environment by working for notable companies such as Live Nation and Marriott International. Her eagerness to go above and beyond for guests, and attention to detail has earned her the spot working alongside 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails’ highly qualified staff and management team.

When Kristin is not aggressively marketing her favorite restaurant in Charlotte or executing the most memorable event for you and those you are with, you will find her hammering away on her and her husband Andy’s fixer-upper house. This never ending labor of love is always followed by a very large glass of wine and some good front porch sitting with friends and family. If you are looking to host any special events, luncheons, or just want to see if the rumors of her not standing still are true, she is always around or just email her at kristin@204north.com We look forward to having this never ending ball of energy join our team in helping us highlight our mission in bringing our guests and community the highest level of service.
